Are you an Artist? If you think you have what it takes to be a gallery artist for Avatrait, then here is your opportunity to show us what you've got! Rules below on first post!

Rules

1. You must be a NON-Gallery Artist. If you question whether you are or are not an Avatrait Gallery Artist, contact Stephen Venkman or Shoshana Epsilon.

2. The work must be of Second Life, posted to this group, and numbered. Only 1 submission per artist! The work must not have been seen on flickr or koinop or other photo-sharing site.

Example...
The first post is by artist A. He numbers it #1
The second post is by artist B. She numbers it #2. (etc)
(Only one entry per artist.)

3. The theme is "Giving" (for example, charity). The deadline for submission is April 25th, 2009. The winning piece will be displayed with the regular gallery artists on May 30th, 2009.

4. You must take the image in high resolution of no less than 5700x3900. No exceptions. Lesser resolution is acceptable here for ease of uploading to this group, but you must be able to provide a 5700x3900 image once contacted as the winner!

5. Do not frame or shadow the edges of your work. A signature is required on the work.

6. One piece will be chosen to be included in the multi-artist show opening on May 30th. Your image must be exclusive in-world. No other copies but the one you give Avatrait must exist. Your image will be for sale and you will receive 70 percent of the proceeds. (If your piece is not chosen, you may do with it as you like.)

7. Winning this contest does not automatically invite you into the gallery as a permanent gallery artist. That determination is made via a review of your Avatrait website and flickr stream portfolio by the Board of Avatrait Gallery. The Board reviews new artists on a quarterly basis.

8. Shoshana Epsilon will notify the winner and will provide further instructions on where to send your artwork.
